BLOODLINES
HEARTBREAKER (Preferent) - SIRE
Heartbreaker was crowned ‘KWPN HORSE OF THE YEAR’ in 2016. He was already declared ‘Preferent’ in 2009 because of his successful offspring in the International scene. Heartbreaker himself was successful at Grand Prix level with Peter Geerink. In 2018 he was ranked number 27 in the WBFSH ranking for jumping sires, with offspring in International sport. His influence in worldwide breeding is enormous. In the KWPN-studbook he has already 10 Approved sons and 24 Approved grandsons! Heartbreaker’s stallion sons feature in a number of studbooks. With the Belgian Warmblood Association we find: Actionbreaker, Boris vh Kluizebos, Del Piero D & B, D’Ukase, Dulf van den Bisschop, Echo van ‘t Spieveld, Quasimodo vd Molendreef, Quickfeuer vd Koekshof, Torino and Vancouver d’Auvry. Four sons are licensed with German Verbands: Pino, Herzblatt, Quickfeuer van Koekshof and Orlando (first licensed with the BWP). In the international scene many of his offspring are competing at the highest level. One of the best this season was Bertram Allen’s Romanov II, who won four Grand Prix’ (Bordeaux, Dortmund, La Baule and Paris). Also his offspring VDL Groep Zidane, ridden by Leopold van Asten, and the approved stallions Cidane, Toulon, Zambesi and Actionbreaker are doing very well. Heartbreaker is also the grandfather of world champion Earley. His grandchildren Hello Sanctos and Admara were both in the lead in the WBFSH-Rankings 2016. WHY BELLA - DAM Why Bella was imported from Team Nijhof as a 3 year old mare. She was purchased because of her incredible brain and outstanding jump. On top of this she comes from a bloodline so rich with Approved Stallions, Olympic Horses and Top International horses!! Her sire was the KWPN Approved International Stallion FAN Holland, who covered first for a number of years in the Netherlands, before he moved to Germany. The internationally successful FAN Holland, who competed with Eddie Macken (IRL) in International show jumping, attracted attention producing 28 successful S-horses and several approved sons in Germany and Holland (Oklund and Whistler in Holland and Harry Potter, Fantasio (owned by Hengststation Maas J. Hell) and Hogwart in Germany). A half brother to Why Bella, "Africa Capital Bingo B" (v Larino) is competing International 1.45m under French rider Julien GONIN. Mother of Why Bella, Sophia Bella is half sister to the International 1.60m showjumper Bugatti (v Heartbreaker) who is ridden by German Wilhelm Genn and the International 1.40m showjumper Uni Star (v Quickstar) ridden by Ashley Beguin for France. She is out of the Approved Oldenburg and Holstein stallion Cezaro (v Cantus) who was jumped at International level to 1.45m and himself has produced numerous S Level showjumpers. Great Grandmother to Corina Bella MFS is the Ster Prok KWPN mare Nona Bella (v Pilot). She is half sister to the Approved 1.50m showjumping stallion Red Devil (v Heartbreaker) and the International showjumping mare Zamalia Bella RCLI (v Heartbreaker) ridden by Giulia Dal Canton Scampini of Brazil. Pilot as a sire and a dam’s sire or grandsire his value in breeding is still of great importance. International showjumping stars like Priamos, Bugatti Pedro, Pirol, Poker and Pia Lotta are all direct offspring by the famous Pilot, while his approved sons also have made name for themselves. There are 90 Approved sons of Pilot, including Iroko, Peter Pan and EPilot. Further back we find the Keur Preferent Jorina Bella (v Burggraaf), she is half sister to the mare Iris Bella (v Calvados), who is dam to the International KWPN Showjumping stallion Montreux (Hinault) who was competed by Jeroen Dubbledam and Eric van der Vleuten at the top level. Also the International 1.60m showjumpers Opal (v Hinault), Patent (v Hinault) and 1.45m showjumpers Quidam De Bagneux (v Quidam de Revel), Hallo Hallo (v Hinault), the Approved SHBGB stallion U2 The First (v Guidam) and Wontreux (v Hinault). Along with the above horses and stallions from this dam line we find the Olympic and top Nations Cup horse Play It Again (registered name Fedor), who competed in the 1996 Olympics under Canadian Ian Millar and won the Nation's Cup in New York and twice won the Nation's Cup in Toronto! Very sadly we lost Why Bella in 2014 during foaling complications. In the time we bred from her just four of her offspring are still with us. These are Corina Bella MFS, Dandyman MFS (v Marlon) who competes 1.30m and competed at Hickstead International, Fia Bella MFS (v Zambesi TN) who competes at 1.20m and Indiana Jones MFS (v Don Aqui) who is currently with an event/showjumping rider. |
