DETAILS

MFS CAYDEN HH unites a powerhouse jumping sire (Contender) with a dam line steeped in achievement across dressage and jumping. Salytino HH’s credentials—high mare test scores, foil of elite lineage, and proven successors like Corwin HH—reinforce Cayden’s value as a breeding stallion destined to transmit scope, rideability, modern movement, and genetic depth.  He is Ideal for breeders targeting elite sporthorses with dual‑discipline capabilities or those aspiring to line‑breed to Stamm 4294’s elite stock.

BLOODLINES

MFS CAYDEN HH is sired by Contender, one of the most influential stallions in modern sport horse breeding. A cornerstone of the Holsteiner Verband. Contender left a lasting mark on international show jumping and breeding across Europe.
Contender was a son of Calypso II, out of a Ramiro Z mare — blending two of the most powerful sires in jumping history. He won his 1987 Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf with a remarkable jumping index of 146.62, showcasing exceptional scope, technique, and rideability from an early age.

Throughout his career, Contender produced more than 127 approved sons and over 59 state premium mares, earning him a place among the great foundation sires. His influence spans nearly every major studbook, including Holstein, Oldenburg, Hanoverian, Westphalian, and more.

Contender offspring have excelled at the highest level of sport:
  • 🏅 Checkmate 4 – World Cup & Nations Cup winner with Meredith Michaels‑Beerbaum
  • 🏅 Montender – Team bronze and individual bronze medalist at the 2004 Athens Olympics with Marco Kutscher
  • 🏅 Carlo 273 – Ridden by Nick Skelton, multiple Global Champions Tour wins
  • 🏅 Chiara 222 – Grand Prix winner with Ludger Beerbaum
  • 🏅 Controe, Con Air, and Contendro I – Successful in sport and major breeding programs

His sons and grandsons are now established sires in their own right, and his daughters are prized broodmares known for passing on athleticism, type, and character.

Contender’s breeding value for jumping remained one of the highest recorded in Holstein, with an index of 152 and 99% accuracy — confirming his consistency in producing elite performers. He passed away in 2014 at age 29, but his bloodlines continue to shape Olympic podiums and top-level breeding worldwide.

🧬 Dam Line: Stamm 4294 — Salytino HH and BeyondSalytino HH (b. 2002) earned Holsteiner Premium Mare status and a Bezirksprämie. A dam by Caretino out of Warda (by Calypso I). She achieved high scores in her mare performance test—reported to include 9 for walk, 8 for canter, 8.5 for free jumping, and 8 by guest rider.
Her dam (Warda, b. 1984) is by Calypso I out of Sherry Netherland XX lineage, itself a highly successful breeding strain. Calypso I and his related mares have produced multiple elite stallions and competition horses, consolidating Stamm 4294’s reputation.

Noteworthy Descendants:
  • Corwin HH (by Carolus II; b. 2007), a gelding reaching 1.20 m jumping.
  • Cayden HH himself—excelling in dressage and jumping.
  • Cassilina (by Casall), and Dafina (by Indoctro), among others, all proving the line’s success in generating modern sporthorses with versatility and ability.
Together, this dam line blends top-tier gaits, jumping capability, and longevity in breeding performance.

✔️ Why the Dam Line Matters Proven Excellence in HDTB:
  • Salytino HH was top‑level in her test, confirming both dressage potential (walk/canter) and free‑jumping ability.
  • The Calypso I influence—via grandmother Warda—is historic: producers include Congress, Consul, Calypso stallions, and elite mares; key contributors all aligned with Stamm 4294 success.
Sport Performance:
  • Offspring such as Corwin HH compete successfully in 1.20 m jumping.
  • Cayden, combining his sire Contender and maternal pedigree, brings FEI‑level dressage (PSG/Inter I) plus current 1.20 m BSJA showjumping activity.
Genetic Depth:
  • Stamm 4294 carries both jumper and dressage founders, including Calypso I, Aldato, and elements tracing to XXX/TB lines, offering well‑rounded athleticism.
