DON AQUI got licensed at the Main Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden in October 2000. He passed his 30 day test in Zweibrücken scoring two 9s for his jumping. In 2002 he was very successful in Material/Young Dressage Horse Classes, along with being placed in the Young Showjumping Horse Classes. He then went on to start his eventing career under Jan Büsch by qualifying for the Bundeschampionate in the 5 Year Old Eventing Championship. He qualified for the finals where he was placed 10th!! In the official Hanoverian magazine "DER HANNOVERANER" is stated: "Scene applause und enthusiastic whistling received for Don Aqui v. Don Bosco/Gardeulan (Z.: H. Heineking, Raddestorf) with Jan Büsch in the final. But the judges assessed the round differently. The black proved a consistently good manner and leg technique in front at the jump and showed an energetic canter."

At his performance test DON BOSCO (v Donnerhall) gained 8’s for character and temperament and willingness to perform. He got 7’s for conformation and natural jumping ability. For free jumping he got 7.67 and 7.33 for rideability. He has an excellent trot and canter where he gained 8’s. Don Bosco has had high placements in conformation show classes and has won a number of show jumper competitions. He passes on his excellent movement and bouncy gaits to his progeny who are of modern style and type. His first crop of foals resulted in a number of state premium mares. He landed a sensational coup at the 2000 Hanoverian approval, where he presented two approved sons, including the champion stallion Don Crusador, who received outstanding critiques in the supra-regional hippological and sports press. Don Bosco is a very high improver in riding type and conformation. He has 4 Licensed sons, 35 state premium mares and 75 auction horses. On top of this Don Bosco sired several FEI Dressage Horses including the Grand Prix horse Donna Bonita riden by Tor Van Den Berge.
Of his Licensed sons DON CRUSADOR was awarded CHAMPION of the 2000 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing. He competed up to PSG Level. He sired quite a few successful international sport horses. Gareth Hughes is currently competing Don Carissimo at international Grand Prix level. Juan Matute Guimon and Dhannie won Kur gold at the 2015 European Junior Riders Championships. Semmieke Rothenberger won team gold and individual silver with Dissertation at the 2016 European Junior Riders Championships. Dark Knight was the 2009 Bundeschampionate in the 3-year old stallion division. Dr. Wolfgang Westenhöfer's Da Vinci competes at national Grand Prix level in Germany.
