MFS DOLCE DE HAAR

Scottish Sports Horse
DETAILS
MFS DOLCE DE HAAR was bred by us and is one of our original homebreds. She is by our original stallion ROYAL GENEVE and out of the mare ZARAI DE HAAR whom we purchased as an Elite Foal in Holland in 2004. Her grand-dam FAITH DE HAAR was a 1.30m showjumper and was awarded the KWPN PREFERENT and PRESTATIE due to the calibre and success of her offspring at Keurings and in Sport.
MFS DOLCE DE HAAR has not competed herself but comes from a very long high performance mare line in Holland. She has produced several foals and her oldest offspring are starting to show themselves well in the sport to 1.30m. Her dam ZARAI DE HAAR (v Sam R) was imported to Scotland as a foal. She was accepted as a foal to the Elite Foal Auction Prinsjasdag in Holland. Injury meant that Zarai could not be ridden. The grandmother FAITH DE HAAR (v Renville) is a PROK PREFERENT and PRESTATIE mare, who competed up to 1.30m herself. She in turn produced seven horses that competed up to International FEI 1.60m and one Z1 level dressage horse and a ZZ level dressage horse.
She has produced the following offspring:
MFS ISLA DE HAAR (v MFS Vision, Born 2013) - Sold to the UK

BLOODLINES
ROYAL GENEVE - SIRE
ROYAL GENEVE was purchased from VDL Stud in Holland as a yearling. He successfully passed two stallion gradings as a 3 year old, one with the British Bavarian Warmblood Association and second with the Scottish Sports Horse, where he stood Reserve Champion and was one of only two stallions that year to become Licensed. Despite his excellent Holstein pedigree Geneve went on to become a reliable dressage horse and was in training with rider Jo Barry when he tragically passed away suddenly at the age of 7, so never got to realise his potential as a competition horse. In his very limited competition life he did 18 dressage tests, of which he won or was placed in the top 5 each time. From his limited offspring, several went on to do well. His most notable ones were RIVIERA L, Small Tour Dressage Horse with the late International Grand Prix dressage rider, Laura Fry and also ridden by current top International Grand Prix Dressage rider and daughter of Laura, Charlotte Fry. We then have MFS CASINO ROYAL, who competed up to International 1.30m in Italy before being sold to America. MFS ROYAL GEORGE a Licensed stallion with the Anglo European Studbook and still in his young career and then WOODY ALLEN MF who competed up to Advanced Medium Level with International Para rider Emily Skerrett. SILVIO II (Sandro x Gepard) was bred by Paul Schockemohle and was approved by KWPN and the Oldenburger Verband. He competed up to 1.30m. From his offspring he bred several International Grand Prix showjumpers including Nicoline, Olympia, Ouverture, Ramera B, and Siljona B. Silvio II is a son of the great SANDRO Z who competed with the great Franke Sloothaak for Germany. As a sire, Sandro had considerable success, with three of his progeny competing at the 1994 WEG in The Hague – Sandro Song (Ante Smlesa), Safari (Michael Abo) and Paradiso (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson). Sandro is the sire of more than 40 licensed sons, the most successful being Silvio I and II, Sandro Song, Sao Paulo, Sandro Boy and Salido Z. The 2007 World Breeding Championship for Sport Horses saw firsts for the Hanoverian studbook in both jumping and dressage, with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum’s Shutterfly (Silvio / Forrest xx) the number one in the jumping rankings, and Isabell Werth’s Satchmo (Sao Paulo / Legat) number one in the dressage. What a triumph for Sandro, the grand-sire of both the champions! ZARI DE HAAR - DAM ZARAI DE HAAR (v Sam R) was imported to Scotland as a foal. |
